Terms of Service

These Terms apply when someone accesses the Next Foundry website, submits a form, joins an Info Session, applies to a program, or participates in Kids Startup Studio.

Acceptance and Parent Consent

By accessing the website or using Next Foundry services, you agree to these Terms and any additional written program terms. If you accept on behalf of a student under 18, you confirm that you have authority as the parent or legal guardian. Kids Startup Studio is intended for students ready to build a real project and does not knowingly collect program participation information from children under 13.

Program details, dates, fees, and deliverables may vary by cohort and must be confirmed in the offer, invoice, or program page.

  • Website information and product pages
  • Wishlist / Interest List forms
  • Info Sessions and program applications
  • Kids Startup Studio memberships
  • Project mentorship, team collaboration support, and review
  • Demo Day, project showcase, portfolio, and Capstone evidence support

No Guaranteed Outcomes

Next Foundry does not guarantee:

  • Admission into a cohort
  • School grades, Capstone approval, college admission, scholarships, internships, or employment
  • Startup funding, project revenue, Steam approval, app store approval, or platform publication approval
  • A specific public portfolio result

Forms, Accuracy, Fees, and Refunds

Users agree to provide accurate information in forms, applications, payment records, and communications. Fees are described in the program page, offer, invoice, or written agreement. Refunds and cancellations are governed by the current Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Third-party tools, AI subscriptions, Steam fees, paid assets, domain names, or other project costs may be governed by separate third-party terms and refund rules.

Conduct

Students, parents, mentors, and guests must follow the Student Code of Conduct and any safety rules provided for sessions, online spaces, and events. Next Foundry may remove or restrict participation for:

  • Harassment, bullying, discrimination, unsafe behavior, or repeated disruption
  • Privacy violations, intellectual property misuse, cheating, or misuse of AI tools
  • Conduct that harms the studio environment, team project, or public showcase

Intellectual Property and Student Work

Next Foundry materials, curriculum, templates, website content, logos, and operating documents belong to Next Foundry unless otherwise stated. Students retain rights to their original contributions, subject to team project rules, open-source licenses, third-party asset licenses, and separate release or agreement terms.

Users may not copy, resell, republish, or misuse Next Foundry materials without permission.

Third-Party Services

Next Foundry may use third-party services for hosting, forms, email, analytics, scheduling, payments, code repositories, AI tools, game publishing, or communications. Third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. Next Foundry is not responsible for platforms it does not control.

Public Project Display

Public display of student media or identifiable student information requires appropriate permission through the Media and Student Work Release. Next Foundry may display non-identifiable project summaries or aggregate program information unless a specific privacy or confidentiality concern applies.

Liability and Updates

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Next Foundry is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from website use, program participation, third-party tools, or project publication. This section should be reviewed by counsel before publication.

Next Foundry may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes should be communicated when reasonably appropriate.
