Charter
Choose a scoped project, define the player, freeze MVP, and agree on review rules.
Kids Startup Studio
A 12-week founder-led studio for students who want to build a scoped web game demo, practice product thinking, use AI responsibly, and leave with project evidence for portfolio or Capstone conversations.
Positioning
Kids Startup Studio is not a worksheet course, a vague passion project, or a promise of startup success. The first module is intentionally constrained: students build a web game, document decisions, respond to feedback, and prepare evidence they can explain.
Founder Project 0 is used before the cohort to test the same path: toolchain, project charter, backlog, playtest, publishing evidence, and mentor review.
Module 1
Choose a scoped project, define the player, freeze MVP, and agree on review rules.
Build the first playable loop, test input, timing, level data, and feedback.
Turn the prototype into a clearer student-ready demo with playtest notes.
Improve the demo, organize screenshots, records, and presentation material.
Present what was built, what changed, and what the student can explain.

Capstone positioning
Kids Startup Studio can help students organize project evidence for Capstone, portfolio, Demo Day, or school conversations: charter, scope decisions, build records, playtest notes, screenshots, reflection, and presentation material.
Next Foundry does not guarantee grades, Capstone approval, credit, admission, scholarships, school acceptance, platform approval, revenue, or a specific public portfolio result. Students remain responsible for understanding and explaining their own work.
FAQ
It includes coding, but the studio is built around a real project. Students work through scope, build reviews, playtests, evidence, and presentation, not isolated exercises.
Module 1 is designed to produce a playable web game demo, project records, playtest notes, and portfolio or Capstone evidence the student can explain.
The first cohort is best for students who already have basic JavaScript or Python experience and are ready to work through a fixed weekly project rhythm.
No, but they should be able to read and modify basic code, follow setup instructions, explain their work, and keep making progress between review sessions.
The Founding Cohort planning price is CAD 299 per month for the 12-week Module 1 experience. It covers the studio process, founder guidance, reviews, Demo Day preparation, and evidence organization.
No. AI subscriptions, Steam Direct, paid assets, domains, platform fees, hardware, and optional project costs are disclosed separately before families are asked to approve them.
Yes. AI can support planning, debugging, drafting, and review, but it cannot replace student understanding. Students must be able to explain code, design choices, project decisions, and AI-assisted work.
Steam is not a Module 1 promise. Module 1 focuses on a playable web demo. Later modules may validate Electron desktop builds, Steam readiness, and publishing materials if the project is ready.
No. The studio helps students create and explain real project evidence, but it does not guarantee grades, Capstone approval, college admission, scholarships, platform approval, revenue, or a specific portfolio outcome.
No. Wishlist signup only means you want updates and the first application window when the program is ready.
Student work is not automatically public. Public display of names, images, voices, screenshots, videos, quotes, or presentations follows the Media and Student Work Release.
Founder Project 0 lets Next Foundry test the project path before students follow it: toolchain, scope, backlog, playtest, publishing evidence, platform APIs, and mentor review.
Prelaunch
Wishlist signup is not an enrollment commitment. It helps Next Foundry share updates, information session notes, and the first application window.
