Privacy Policy

This page explains how Next Foundry may collect, use, store, and share information through the website, Wishlist, Info Sessions, applications, Kids Startup Studio, project showcases, playtests, scheduling, and payment tools.

Intended Audience

Kids Startup Studio is designed for students ready to build a real project and explain their decisions. Next Foundry does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Students under 18 are expected to have parent or legal guardian consent before program participation information is collected.

Information We May Collect

  • Parent and student contact details submitted through forms
  • Student grade, school, cohort timing, interests, and programming background
  • Application, Info Session, and parent communication records
  • Project titles, descriptions, screenshots, videos, repository links, and Demo Day materials when approved
  • Website analytics, referral source, UTM fields, device or browser information, and form timestamps
  • Anonymous playtest events, feedback, bug reports, and project build identifiers when a demo uses the Game Analytics / Feedback API

How We Use Information

  • Respond to Wishlist, Info Session, and application submissions
  • Evaluate fit for a cohort and communicate with families
  • Operate studio sessions, project reviews, teams, parent updates, and Demo Day preparation
  • Manage payments, refunds, cancellation records, and operational communications
  • Analyze playtest behavior, feedback, completion rate, and project iteration signals
  • Maintain safety, conduct, security, business, and legal records

How We Share Information

Next Foundry does not sell personal information. Limited information may be shared with:

  • Service providers for hosting, forms, email, scheduling, payments, analytics, databases, or project tools
  • Mentors or reviewers involved in the program when needed
  • Parents or legal guardians when appropriate
  • Public audiences only when a separate release or consent allows display
  • Legal, safety, or compliance parties when required

Student Projects and Public Display

Student project materials are not automatically public. Public display of student name, image, voice, likeness, screenshots, videos, quotes, or presentations should follow the Media and Student Work Release. Public project pages should avoid private student contact information.

AI and Third-Party Tools

Students and Founder may use AI and development tools. Third-party tools have their own privacy policies and terms. Students should not submit sensitive personal information, payment information, private family information, API keys, passwords, or unapproved student media into AI tools.

Retention, Security, and Requests

Next Foundry keeps personal information only as long as reasonably needed for program operation, parent communication, safety, conduct, legal, financial, portfolio, dispute, and business records. Parents may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of optional media permission, subject to legal, safety, financial, and operational exceptions.

No internet transmission or electronic storage method is guaranteed to be fully secure. Families should use caution when sharing information online and should not send secrets or payment details through insecure channels.

International Processing

Next Foundry may use service providers located in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions. Information may be processed or stored outside the user's province, state, or country.
